Yes, I am cautiously optimistic that the Democrats will do surprisingly well in the gubernatorial contests this year.  Feeling less confident about the Senate, though.

A wave is still unlikely, but possible.

Either way, I'm excited that the Dems have a good shot at winning swing states with large populations. PA looks like a lock, while Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, and even Georgia are in play. I'm hopeful that this will help Dems with redistricting in 2022 (of course, anyone who wins in 2014 has to win re-election in 2018, but incumbency is at least an advantage).

The leader of the free world told a longtime public servant and war hero that he defeated in the previous election that he won and the GOP need to lay down and accept that. Republicans are under no obligation to have "class" about the biggest blowup for the Democrats in a decade. If the great republican governors had been unseated, there would be no class.

Relish our victory. It wasn't luck, it was work. We earned it, they lost. Period.

Er...No way.

If Walker or LePage had been unseated by the Democratic gubernatorial 'wave,' the unbridled glee around here would not have been concealed.

Pretty much everyone thought Dems would gain governorships in their final projections, so mock me if you wish, but I was hardly alone. Tongue
