* Medicaid expansion
* Same-day voter registration
* Legalization of same-sex marriage
* Medical marijuana
* Repealed the death penalty
* Accepting/using federal high-speed rail funds
* A right-to-vote constitutional amendment and progressive advisory questions placed on this year's ballot
* Running a campaign that correctly paints his opponent as an out-of-touch plutocrat
* A 2nd term agenda likely including a progressive income tax, minimum wage increase, and further liberalization of marijuana laws among other things
etc

FF (feels fantastic)

As long as their Governor doesn't advocate for dumping toxic waste into Lake Michigan, I really don't care who wins in Illinois.

Bad, but I guess somewhat expected considering the bone-headed campaign Mr. Rauner has been running.

Disappointed but not surprised.

I think it shows how bad of a governor Quinn is, but I'm not a hack: I don't care whom Illinois elects, as it doesn't affect me at all.  You know you're a party foot soldier (not inherently a bad thing, so calm down) when you start cheering for your party to win governor races several states away.  Senators and representatives, a different story obviously.

I'm glad the good people of Illinois haven't been tricked into voting for the far-right plutocrat Rauner who is running solely to cut his own taxes.

Curious, who DON'T Atlas Dems consider far right?  It's literally like "if you are to the right of my -8, -8 PM score, you're a right-winger."

Rauner wants to reduce or eliminate the minimum wage, opposes gay marriage, and would have vetoed the medicaid expansion. Positions like these put him far to the right of the Illinois electorate.
