I'm still trying to figure how one could rage against the "machine" on MTV (clearly part of the "machine").

(and don't start with the "that was the only way to get their message out" BS.  Lots of political bands get their message out just fine without MTV or radio.)

I just thought of something else...is there a problem with a band's songs all sounding mostly the same?  Especially to the non-fan of that band?  I'm thinking this would apply to a lot of bands, if not most bands.  Take AC/DC, even if you've never heard a particular AC/DC song you can tell it's them a good chunk of the time (or a band trying really hard to be them...see Jackyl) because they have a signature sound.  And there is certainly nothing wrong with AC/DC if you're into that kind of thing....and everybody should be at some point in their life...I suggest somewhere around 15...if you're 19 and never went through an AC/DC phase it's not too late!

and there is nothing wrong with being into Rage (if you're a teenager, 40 year old dudes shouldn't be raging against much).  I was never a fan cause I never really had a strong "rage" urge that needed to get out.  That's not to say I don't mind a little anger in my music, but it should come with a dose of jokes too.  All angry all the time is just exhausting...or at least it seems it would be to me.
