Great poll about important issues broken down by age, class and area. Look how conservative we 18-24 year olds are turning out to be! Smiley Especially when it comes to the creation of wealth, pensions and saving and immigration.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of the public in the UK pays no income tax. 

I was kind of surprised that so many people would be willing to pay more in taxes--or have someone else do it for them.

Here it is nearly 50%, so it isn't too unusual that half the people think that taxes are about right, or maybe even too low.  The percentage of the people getting a free ride will always be in favor of taxing those who already pay a little more.  It's funny, though, that that same percentage is the first to complain that they didn't get enough of a tax cut.  Hello!  Gotta pay something to get something.
