Of course!  Why would I miss cashing in on cheap rent because dumbasses think it's haunted?

Define "not long ago".....if it's last month?  No, probably not.  If it's a year ago....maybe.

Sure, unless it was a particularly heinous or revolting sort of murder. That sounds strange, I guess, but I'd rather move in to a place where someone had just been shot or stabbed than a place where someone had been disemboweled and had their brains smeared all over the walls while the killer pleasured herself wearing a mask made of the victim's face. Personal preference.

Depends on the reason for the murder, since that would determine the probability of it happening again.

Depends.  Was it a member of the family, how bloody was it?

Sure, since I don't believe in ghosts or haunted-ness.

I'm not going to be picky about a place to live.

You can bet I'd be very interested in what security systems the apartment/house has.

As long as there are no other problems with the house. The overwhelmingly majority of murders here happen in neighborhoods I'd never consider living in anyway.

I think so. The house I live in was built in the 15th-century so it's not unrealistic to assume that some unpleasant things, including murder, might have happened within these walls at some point.

Theoretically, yeah, but it depends upon location and the house. Not if it was in a bad area. But if it was personal, as most murders are, or the result of something bizarre, and I liked the house, yeah.

Yes, this. The circumstances are crucial.

Don't believe in anything spiritual, but hell no. It amazes me that Scott and Laci Peterson's house in Modesto ever sold after that happened...

No, and I have no idea why my mom's stepbrothers family still live in their house after he was shot dead inside.

I would consider it as long as the murders had been related to some sort of organized crime.

I knew a family who had to deal with bombs being thrown in their windows because the people who lived in their house before they did owed a lot of money to some mobsters.  I'm not about that life.

No way.  At least not if I knew about it.

Also, I wouldn't want a house or apartment where cats once lived.  I always ask about that, and I get down on my knees and smell all the corners and crevices before agreeing to sign a lease.  Cats are the worst, but dead people are nasty as well.

Well sure I might then, in Europe, where "not long ago" can refer to the 15th century.  In America, heck no.

Could they afford to move?  Regardless of the circumstances, murder will lower the property value and with one less breadwinner in the family, they'd have a harder time qualifying for a mortgage.

It wouldn't shock me if someone was killed in the apartment building I live in (it's over one hundred years old and was once in a pretty crime ridden neighborhood). I wouldn't care at all.
