I went with Guy Picciotto Day, but any of the top 4 would be preferable to the fifth.

But aren't these holidays all very silly and trivial? Well perhaps. But I'd prefer to have a silly and trivial holiday instead of a Pol Pot Day or a Mao Zedong Day, which is what having Columbus Day is equivalent to. Hell even a Ronald Reagan Day would be less objectionable (though still incredibly so.)

Columbus shouldn't have a day and Jackson shouldn't have his face on the twenty dollar bill.

Genocidal maniacs shouldn't be fondly commemorated.

Yes.

Jackson was an interesting guy and wasn't the worst President, but the man was genocidal. His actions here in Florida certainly were.

Columbus was a horrible person, was completely wrong about pretty much everything, it's a sick joke on all of us that he's held up as some kind of hero.

As for this thread, I'm voting for Columbus Day.

Aubrey Plaza Day (June 26)
Jennifer Lawrence Day (August 15) - that it coincides with the Feast of the Assumption just goes to show that J-Law is our Messiah.

Are you talking about the Seminole Wars or the Indian removals?
