Stanislav Petrov, former Soviet officer that averted a Soviet strike dead at 77. He was a hero for realizing it was a glitch and not going hair trigger into a retaliatory mode. RIP. Great read, esp. for some of Atlas' younger members not that familiar with Cold War history.
