Hello, Midwesterners.  I come to you with a grave announcement: I will not be running for Governor later this month.

This is sad, but not unexpected.  This is the first time you will have not run for Midwest Governor, you know.  Will you be planning to do anything else soon?  And, would you consider running for Lt. Governor with me?

I am seriously considering running for Lt. Governor of the Midwest in addition to running for Senate. I will not take the Lt. Governorship if I am elected to the Senate.

"The governor is allowed to appoint a Lieutenant Governor if it is wished by the governor to have that specific post."
There's no running for the post Wink
