It would be great. I'd vote for him unless Granholm ran, which she could in that situation.

Foreign born citizens should not be eligible for the office of president of the United States. I don't care who it is.

He seems very close to your politics. Mildly libertarian.

We let them be secretary of state. Bias could be equally present.

A secretary of state is always held in check. He can at any time be overruled or fired by the president.

The president could be impeached if it really gets out of hand, I guess. With Arnold and Granholm I don't think it would. That's for the people to decide.

yes, let's let foreign borns run in another country.  After all, Hitler was born in Austria and ran in Germany.
Stalin was born in Georgia before it got engulfed in the Soviet Union
Castro was born in Spain before he took Cuba.

Let's let a foreigner become "president" and see how long beofre America becomes a complete dictatorship

I'm sorry, but those are really bad comparisons. I don't even know where to start. At least Philip's argument holds some water. Why the hell would it matter if they're foreign-born? Are you denying that most of Hitler's men, many more brutal than he, were German? Were Trotsky and Lenin not Russians? Where was Pinochet from, again?

I hope the Constitution is not Amended to allow this. However, at the same time I would like to see it just to seperate real conservatives from those who blindly follow the Republican Party.

eh, I know it's bad.

But there is a reason why we have this rule in our Constitution.   It's a precautionary measure that must be kept.  As for replying to another post, Arnold is no libertarian.  I don't know, I call him a liberal Republican (the other wing of the party that isn't the neoconservatives).  Arnold's for gun control and wants state funding for stem cell research.  I can't think of a single libertarian who would support either.  You may have some LPs support the stem cell thing, provided that it's not done at taxpayer's expense.

Personally, I favor letting anybody run for president and then letting the people decide whether or not they want that person as their leader.  I trust the people enough to make that decision.

I oppose having a citizen of another country be President, espeically one that supports someone like Kurt Waldheim.

Under no circumstances, whatsoever, would I ever support Arnold for President.

How a man treats a woman speaks volumes about that man.  And his behavior in years past has been deplorable.

No, the constitution should not be changed.

Ditto.  Except change "highly dislike" to "absolutely loathe".

I mean come on.  The guy can't even act.
