For about a third of my life (so far).  Beginning at the age of two (or thereabouts) I lived overseas for ten years in South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines until we moved back to the States in 1994.  Since then, I have visited Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand (Canada doesn't count as a foreign country).

Sure.

Assuming we're not counting airports I've been to: USA, South Africa, a few Caribbean countries.

Can anyone find any relatively recent nationwide polls asking this same question? I'd really love to compare the Atlas Forum with the rest of the nation.

I thought this thread said "Have you ever been outside your home?" at first glance.

Well, I live outside my home country, so yes.  Just in the last three years, I've been to the US, Australia, Israel, France, China, and Indonesia.

I thought it was home county.

Yes (D) American for me.

Yes, I live only a handful of miles away from the German and Italian borders (I/O non-American).

And besides these 2 countries, I have been in a couple other countries as well, such as NL, BEL, FRA, CZ, CH, ESP, Vatican and the USA.

Sure, but only to European countries so far: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Scotland, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
I'm going to add another country to the list tomorrow - Austria (Vienna).

Yes - I'm in Germany and Italy in no more than 40 minutes...
Other than those two, I have been to Spain, France, the UK, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Slovenia; so I never left Europe up to now.

Almost exactly the same for me.  (Niagara Falls to Port Huron in 1995)

I actually got a passport 3 years ago, due to an unfortunate incident involving a temporary driver's license (due to a renewal), a cross-country flight, and an unsuccessful attempt to rent a car.

Depending on your definition of "home country", I have three choices: China, Canada and the U.S.

Have also travelled to a good bit of Western Europe (France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain), the Rhine valley in Germany, Prague, Tunisia and Cambodia. Would like to visit India, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa one day.
