In the spirit of all these "How many will X weak link Dem candidate win against GOP incumbent?" threads, it seemed only fair to flip such an idea on its head.

With that in mind, my guess is between 16-24 counties...probably at exactly 16. All of them except Orange being inland counties, possibly just Northern and Mountainous counties.

Though I wouldn't be shocked if only Orange, Modoc, Kern, Glenn, Plumas, and Siskiyou counties voted against Brown.

Between 16 and 24 might be a stretch.

26 counties voted for Emken over Feinstein, and 27 voted for Romney over Obama.

The key is obviously crossover support from Republicans for Brown, which Feinstein and Obama weren't as strong with (not that they needed it anyway). Polls show Brown has the potential to only lose 16-24 with the bit of 'Pub support he has, and with a strong approval rating and widespread support for his two ballot initiatives, I voted for 16-24. No one should be surprised if over 25 still vote against Brown though.
