Evo Morales has been more pragmatic in office than his rhetoric suggests. Also, he has been arguably more successful than his Bolivarian counterparts. The economic growth has allowed redistributing policies which have reduced poverty and the traditional marginalisation of the Amerindian majority is increasingly a thing of the past. As well Morales concluded agreements with entrepreneurs and there is not polarisation in the society, as it happens in Venezuela. Huge FF in balance, despite some issues that I don't like which look little in comparison with the achievements of his era.

Bolivia under his rule has managed avoid the pitfalls that normally befall countries with an abundance of particular resources (too many example countries to bother mentioning). Bolivia's gas supplies are genuinely used to help the population and is pragmatically put to use. However, he needs to prepare for the eventuality of a post-fossil economy.

Still Bolivia is a long way from the IMF-dictated hellhole it was before.

Much better than the likes of Maduro, the late Chavez, and even (as far as I can tell) Correa, and he's seeking to address some real grievances, but I can't at all say I'm a fan.

Not without problems (like labor laws) but FF on balance and certainly one of Latin America's better leaders.

Never forget about the illegal klepto-kidnapping of American Jacob Ostreicher, who was held without charges or trial for years until he was covertly smuggled out of the country. He would still be there, as the escape was only orchestrated when the government intended to reset the clock.

And you are just as strident in your opposition to those practice, I would assume?

EDIT: FTR I voted FF, because Morales has been fairly strong overall.

Clearly a FF, specially because of this:

Evo Morales has been more pragmatic in office than his rhetoric suggests.

And America would never hold foreigners without charge or trial.

Yet you automatically condemn any American president who does something bad with no nuance whatsoever. It's interesting you don't extend this same logic to international leaders.
