This won't have any real affect on the race of course. It looks like Garcia will lose, but I really hope she chooses to remain involved in politics. Apart from the fact that her candidacy looks good for the GOP, she seems very intelligent, well-spoken, and passionate. And a pretty good campaigner. Though her position on gay marriage is really unfortunate; I hope she gives the issue more thought.

To be fair, Republicans control the New Hampshire state senate, have one of their national Senate seats (and an outside chance of stealing the other one with an upset in November) and very well might pick up one of the Congressional districts...  Hardly dead or even dying.

Even if none of that were true, NH voters - based on both polls and registration statistics - are fairly evenly divided along partisan lines.  I'd say it's easily a "Purple State."  Heck, I'm pretty sure there are actually more Republicans in NH than Democrats, but the independents certainly have been breaking Democrat lately.

Actually, he seems to be a lot better than most Republicans. Opposes the death penalty and supports marijuana legalization. Making stupid comments is to be expected from Republicans today, so that still puts him ahead of the vast majority of them.

Actually, he seems to be a lot better than most Republicans. Opposes the death penalty and supports marijuana legalization. Making stupid comments is to be expected from Republicans today, so that still puts him ahead of the vast majority of them.

To be fair I wasn't really talking about his poicies, more his gross behaviour like accusing his former friend (and Democratic candidate) of having child porn with no evidence, shouting Sieg Heil to the speaker and behaving like a five year-old when asked to apologise.

I'm really sorry for the bump, trust me, but this thread is so hilarious. It literally proves every point I've made about New Hampshire in the past LOL. And to think that this is the state that could decide the presidency and control of the Senate next year -shudder-.

Btw: This whole thing really backfired. White women turned out in record numbers for Kuster. She probably won the angry womens' vote 76-22. Oh well. Will be interesting to see how women will vote in next years Senate election.

How exactly does a race between two women prove that NH is sexist? And this doesn't prove the whole NH=VT thing either: Kuster won 55-45, while Peter Welch (VT-AL) won 64-31. Nice Try, no cigar.
