Swing district but wrong year for Dems to win it. Obama won 52% here in 2012 and I can see a competitive 2016 NJ-3 race. However this district tends to be more Republican locally, McArthur probably wins by 6-9 points.

This is a junk poll. Not even McArthur's internal puts him up this much (it was 44-37).

About what you'd expect. MacArther is a decent fit for this seat.

A swing district that has voted Republican in all but 1 election under anything resembling its current boundaries.

It's a swing district, even with its local GOP lean Obama did win it twice and with 52% the final time. In a 2006 style Democratic year it would be at the top of the target list.

MacArthur will win, but it'll be closer than this.

Damn shame so much of my district includes the awful parts Ocean County.  There are blue collar towns along the Delaware that need proper representation, and our Congressional elections are constantly bought by the hedge fund crowd down the shore that wants to protect their multi-million dollar beachfront properties.  Macarthur is AGAINST EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN for gods sake.  This should not fly in NJ, but it does with bastards like Macarthur.  He is no different than another other Republican, with his garbage about "free market solutions".
