Absolutely not.  This is a complete failure of leadership.

It rewards secessionists and traitors.

Nothing will vindicate Cranberry's actions.  Fortunately, he is but a caretaker President.

Perhaps the next elected President will show some guts and leadership.

This "secessionist" movement has exactly one member, and while I like him personally, he probably should be on trial for treason at this point.

I think President Cranberry has good intentions, but I think "negotiating" with Alfred and appointing a mediator for that purpose is plain silly. As for the semi-autonomous region or whatever, it's plainly not a good idea, especially as it carves out a treasured part of our region without consent from our citizens.

It's not the path I would have trodden... it certainly invites a bit of a slippery slope scenario.

I understand Cranberry's intention, but I oppose the compromise, it sets a terrible precedent.

I kind of don't, to be honest.

I don't honestly get it. No one in the NE consented to this. We never had a referendum or anything. We're just carved up and given no choice in the matter. There was really no reason to negotiate. This plan should be rejected.

No. The proper course of action would be to hang everyone involved in the Secession movement for not being entertaining.

I think it's a bad idea treat one crank as a legitimate country, so no, I don't think we should negotiate with Ganymede or however it's spelled.

Why was the workers' government never given a negotiated peace? It's disgusting that our Teutonic president would concede to these liberal separatists but not to the working class.

Not really, I stand for local autonomy and not for creating subregions so difficult to spell. Actually, you must reduce the number of regions or getting rid of them. However, history will vindicate President Cranberry for other actions and he certainly is not a traitor or something in the like.
