I predict that the north bracket gives us the winner.

This thing has has pretty poor geography. Wesley Clark (Arkansas) north but Barack Obama (Illinois) south?

The way they did it, some politicians from the same state ended up in different brackets. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Damn, some hard choices now

Clinton - I like Kuninch, but he can't win the general
Rendell - I don't know much about Mikulski
Graham - I don't think Ted can win the general, but he's currently winning this matchup
Warner - 2nd most lopsided
Kerry - What more can they make up about him?
Bayh  - Bradley isn't a bad choice
Schweitzer - Very hard decision, Feingold is damn good, too, currently 50-50
Clark - He's destroying Schumer here

Voted Kucinich, Rendell, Graham, Leahy, Durbin, Bradley, Feingold, Schumer. Currently all but one race is reasonably close (Wes Clark licks Chuck Schumer).

I guarantee you that Kerry would have won if he hadn't co-sponsored some birth control bill with Santorum.

Nah, I think it was because Durbin's Good Ole Boys stole Ohio.
Wink
Since Durbin is not markedly more Liberal nor markedly less so than Kerry, he probably won due to pure anti-Kerry votes, some from Dems convinced he was a bad candidate and searching for a new face, some simply Republicans. Durbin profited from lower name recognition, if you wish. (I voted for Durbin too. Smiley )

Durbin did vote against the Iraq war, so that might be a factor, too.

Hey, seven out of eight ain't bad! Harkin beat Granholm, otherwise those are the second round winners.

My third round votes:Rendell, Graham, Durbin, Feingold, Reid, Richardson, Gore, Obama.

Clinton
Warner
Durbin
Feingold - Clark is good too, and I see he's winning by a landslide
Reid - I decided he'd do better in a general election, even though Boxer is great
Richardson
Gore
Obama
