No.

Cranberry does not have the authority to carve up parts of our regions.

And he'd better not mess with our beloved Northeast.

One word comes to mind for Cranberry's actions

Impeachment

Two words come to mind for the traitors actions

Banishment, Imprisonment

I know you're renowned for your flamboyant style, Winfield, but how the hell was that a treason? No action has been taken.

Beside, you want yet another succession crisis by impeaching him?

Kalwejt, thank you for your question allowing me to expand on and further explain my views in this matter.

Just who exactly in the Republic of Atlasia, what government legislators or government officials, did Cranberry consult before announcing he was negotiating a compromise with the secessionists?

The compromise to my understanding was to carve up the Northeast Region giving part of it to the secessionists.

I do not call this negotiation.  I call this caving in to the demands of secessionists, traitors, and terrorists.

Since when does the Chief Executive of a sovereign nation, whose responsibility it is to promote national unity and regional understanding, give parts of the nation to those who have betrayed the very nation of which they are a part?

I believe under these circumstances the word treason applies.

Whether or not any action was taken, the mere fact the President himself entertained this proposal, of which he was clearly intent on pursuing previous to the very negative reaction from Atlasians from across the nation and from across the political spectrum, shows treasonous intent.

Now, Cranberry may not have looked at this action as treason, although it was most definitely extremely poor judgment on his part, but negotiating away part of a region, and by extension part of the nation of which he is Chief Executive, in the final analysis, amounts to the betrayal of the nation of which he has sworn to uphold.

As to the removal or resignation of the President from office, the Atlasian constitution specifies the line of succession, so there need not be any succession crisis.  I say need not be, but of course there will always be certain elements in the country who will try to take advantage of the situation, although always to no avail.
