I love Vienna, but I feel like you kind of need to know German to successfully integrate as a working professional there. There's no real language barrier in Tromsų.

Not if you work for the UN or large international companies, for which you can get along with English as well.

Of course, if you work in smaller companies or ones that are mostly dealing with locals, you cannot avoid learning some German ... Wink

Tromsų actually has a very low suicide rate at only 6/100.000 people, compared with the Norwegian average of 11 per 100.000 people (which is similar to most other western countries).
