Inspired by this thread:
https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=196242.msg4248219#msg4248219Out of all potential running mates that Bill Clinton could have picked in 1992, which one would've maximized the Democrats' chances of holding onto the White House a third time in 2000? Some of the names being mentioned back then were:
Bill Bradley
Lee Hamilton
Tom Harkin
Bob Kerrey
John Kerry
George Mitchell
Jay Rockefeller
Paul Tsongas (died of cancer in 1997, which would have required Clinton to pick a replacement)
Doug Wilder
Harris Wofford
But don't be bound by that list. Feel free to name anyone you think might qualify as a remotely plausible running mate for Clinton in '92.
