Non-white people also have plenty of distinguishing traits, it's just that white people are less able to recognize them than they are with other white people (and vice versa for other races). When humans are born, they can distinguish traits between faces of individuals within other races with just as much ease as with members of their own race and can even distinguish between the faces of individual monkeys. However, this ability greatly diminishes within the first year of life as newborn babies are typically raised and surrounded by individuals of the same race.
