http://news.yahoo.com/judge-strikes-down-arizonas-ban-gay-marriage-151516159.html

U.S. District Judge John Sedwick's ruling bars state officials from enforcing a 1996 state law and a 2008 voter-approved constitutional amendment that outlawed gay marriage.

Sedwick said in his ruling that because the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals had already ruled against gay marriage bans in Nevada and Idaho, he did not need to give a lengthy reason for his ruling and was bound by the appeals' court decision.

This is a BFD, certainly for a rapidly-shifting state like Arizona. Cheesy There's no turning back now, only progress ahead. Smiley Smooth sailing.

They are just phoning it in at this point. I look forward to the next judge's ruling

Its technically possible another state could beat Wyoming.  The state has been given to next Thursday to appeal.  The state seems unlikely to do so, but with the way these bans have been dropping another ban could be overturned prior to then (Montana seems like its just days away)

So long as the black mark is struck down at all, I'm fine with it.

12 states we've picked up in 2 weeks, and Wyoming was the one that made me cry.

I saw something reposted on Facebook a couple days ago from some Senator still blabbing on about how we are going away from the teachings of Jesus.  Yea, this greedy, interventionist, war-happy, capitalist country (for better or for worse, just comparing this to Biblical teaching) and THIS is where we have strayed from our "Christian roots"... the moment in time where we have gotten past discriminating against people for who they love.

Can the disgusting blowhards who still bemoan gay marriage just up and admit all along that you just don't like gay people and think they are gross?  Just have a pair and say it!

When you exclude pending appeals (that will inevitably fail), areas where the overturn has occurred but is pending (FL & WY), and states in districts where the bans have been ruled unconstitutional but the states have not yet been forced to recognize it (SC, KS, MT), there are only 10 states left to fall, which comprise barely 15% of the US population.

Imagine that. Roll Eyes

Damn, MO, hurry up so we can have contiguous coast-to-coast SSM coverage!

I am gay. I don't believe in redefining marriage. The bible is clear. I do not want this. Real Arizona does not want this.

Sorry, but you're wrong.  There aren't that many of us, I'll willfully admit ,but it's possible to be gay and not be for gay marriage .

"Real Arizona" isn't mentally competent enough to render a consistent verdict on this issue.
