Crist up 45-43, three points better than the St. Pete Polls poll before this one. A plurality of voters think Crist won the debate (38-25), and that the delay because of the fan hurt Scott (41-20). 52% said they watched the debate. Wyllie's at 8%.

The poll samples Republicans by about 3% more than Democrats, and is only 13% black and 8% Hispanic. It also includes breakdowns by media market, which is cool - Charlie leads in Tally, Tampa, West Palm & Miami.

Good news, considering SPP is usually R-leaning outside of FL-13.

Someone needs to make a picture of the two candidates and their podiums as columns of support, with a fan under Crist "lifting" his support from 42% to 45%

A 3 point swing is huge in a race like this. Assuming it holds true for SurveyUSA, it would bring their tracking poll from Crist +4 to Crist +7.

Not a big gain enough to consider this race other than toss up.

I'm waiting for PPP, and I'm still worried, I have a bad feeling. This will be close.

The last poll from this firm was the criminal's best result since September. When you take it in that context, this poll is excellent news for Crist.

In addition, this poll has an R+3 sample. In 2010 it was even. Nobody seriously expects this year to be on par with 2010, much less more Republican friendly.

As great as it would be to see Crist become the first person ever to be rejected as a member of three different parties, I think Charlie has this. Scott has just been an awful governor, without even giving his base anything to be particularly excited about.

I love how we define "winning" the debate as who looked good or made comments about a fan. Is this what it's come to? Aren't we supposed to be discussing the issues facing the state of FL for the next four years? My god.

There's one very effective ad that Scott is running, although he had little to do with it considering that the job market turned:

1) Crist lost a net of 600K jobs under his first tenureship
2) Scott has gained almost 800K jobs

Again, not Crist's fault really and certainly not Scott's doing, but for the average voter who is an idiot, what do they know?

Were you also criticizing the media for acting like Grimes not saying who she voted for was the biggest scandal since Watergate?
