two questions for bushie:

when was the last time you spent time in the tulsa apartment?

autocad?

I haven't spent time in Tulsa since the third week of October, but I will be back up there for two nights this coming weekend.

I spent time in AutoCAD last night before I went to bed.

We've got two inches of snow on the ground here in Central Oklahoma.  I stayed home from church because people were being douches and forgot how to drive in this stuff.  There have been accidents galore on area roads today because of the first snow of the season.  Only 2 inches and there were about 50 wrecks across the metro.  The snow is supposed to push into Southern Oklahoma by 1700, so hopefully the road crews can work overnight to get the roads ready for the morning commute.  The only problem is it is supposed to be between 18-20 degrees overnight with clear skies and light winds, so we won't get any blow drying of the roads.  It is supposed to climb to the mid 30's tomorrow under bright sunshine so the evening commute should be fine.  No matter how the road conditions are, I will still go to work even if I have to drive real slow and be late.  The good news is I'll take most of my morning commute just after sunrise, so I should be able to see the roads a lot better.  I would just like improved roads.

I just picked out the clothes I am going to wear tomorrow.  It's a minor decision, probably only saves me 1-2 minutes of a morning, but it is one less decision I have to make that early in the morning.  I pick out my clothes for the next day every work night when I first get home from church and/or work.

Better follow Papa Bushie's instructions and keep a hotel room or two on hold in case the weather becomes inclement en route to or from work tomorrow.

For what it's worth, my mother, when she learned of her niece and nephew and her family were going to spend a year or two in Africa, straightly warned me "Do not follow them to Africa, speaking of my continued desire to move to Kenya, at least not for a while."

Your mother wants to move to Kenya too???

Right, but your direct quote of what your mother said was "my continued desire to move to Kenya", rather than "your continued desire to move to Kenya", so I was tweaking you on that.

Right, I just misplaced the quotation marks...  Good catch!

..You say this like it's a first time. Do you normally not? Do people still pick out what to wear for work? I just open the drawer, and whatever polo on top is what I wear, or whatever dress shirt is first on the hanger is what I grab.

Didn't you recently say you were gay? Because you don't seem to be very good at it. Wink

We talked about a hotel for tonight, but I'll just take it slow and easy.  I'll be able to drive in the daylight.

Are you really that helpless and / or that bad of a driver that you and your family honestly discussed getting a hotel room for tonight? It's TWO INCHES of possible snow ... and you grew up in this stuff. What kind of car are you driving that can't handle that?

The more you post, the more I think you've got some serious handicaps.

The hotel talk was just Dad worrying.  I squashed it.

But, why would he worry? Not to be an ass, but this is a conversation or worry that would never even come up in my family aside from my parents maybe saying "drive carefully" in passing when I left for work (if I lived with them, that is). What's his precedent for thinking that a 32-year-old grown man needs to get a hotel close to work because two inches of snow may cause trouble?
