Memphis needs suspended for this season for his lack of empathy towards Papa.

it was also disrespectful for bushie to say his father 'only' works 40 hours a week.

meanwhile bushie lounges around watching the super duper cable package.

I don't have anywhere to go tomorrow, so I am going to spend the day job searching at my parents' house and also preparing for Tuesday morning's interview.  The interview is at 1000 and I'll return to Tulsa right after the interview.  I should get back to Tulsa by 1300 and should be able to make at least one of the job fairs that I want to go to.  One job fair ends at 1400 and the other ends at 1500.  Depending on what happens with Tuesday's interview, if I don't get the job, I will be down Halloween weekend for family dinners and then I'll wait until Thanksgiving weekend after that to come back down again.

translated:  he will watch 15 hours of tv with 3 naps worked in, while stuffing his face with ungodly amounts of food.

then at about 1800 he may quickly submit an online application or two just to get the atlasians off his back.

I just slept for 11 hours, so I should need a nap today, but we'll see.

Freudian typing 101.

yes, certainly not a typo.

bushie serious question:  other folks have asked, but i dont think youve ever given a good answer:  what makes you think you deserve at least $11 an hour?

i have a college degree.  i was out of the work force for a while.  i took a job at wendy's  on the late night shift washing dishes and scrubbing toilets for $8.85 an hour.  because i basically had to.  now, ive a better job.  but it takes work.  not just laying around and watching cable tv all day feeling entitled.

I've replied before that worth has NOTHING to do with it.  I NEED $11+ in order to make the most of my time and ease the burden on Mom and Dad.  I don't know how in the world that's not a good enough answer, but it's the only answer you're going to get.

So $9 won't help the burden?

^^^

bushie's math doesnt make sense.  he thinks making $9 an hour would be a bigger burden to papa bushie than making $0.

Also, once again, construction/demolition companies don't pay horribly, and they'll even hire ex-convicts, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a job.
That's hard work though. We should find him something air conditioned and comfortable.

Yeah, as much as I appreciate the suggestion, I wouldn't last a day, maybe two, there.

didnt you do road work once?

As a good son, I did call my mother and thank her.  Now, we can start snowballing onto the next bill in November which is my college loan.

why is it always 'we'.

and bushie is tonight the first night of autocad study?

I helped a little with the bills when I was working.  Granted, this payoff was all her, but I helped get it down to where I could pay it off.

As far as AutoCAD, I do plan on revving it up tonight, making sure it still works and all and playing with it for a little while after church while I watch Game 2 of the World Series.

you helped a 'little' when you were working?

Just make sure my license hasn't expired.  It's supposed to be a 3-year license, so I should be okay, but I want to make sure.

If you're uncertain then you haven't turned the program on in ages, in spite of telling us that you did.

shocking.

How much is Bushie's cable package? I don't have one now but in college mine was about $30/month. $175 in discounts means it's over $175, geez.

he loves the tv and feels like he is entitled to it.

bushie why do you expect your elderly granny to wait on you?

is it a religious thing where women are supposed to wait on the menfolk?

at least he "found" 4 pairs of khakis, which might save as much as $100.

that reminds me...whatever happened to the $100 in walking gear?

What's happening to Bushie's Kenyan children? Has he completely abandoned/forgotten about them and let them to fend for themselves in Darkest Africa?

Mom and I are still supporting them.  They're doing just fine.  In fact, I sent both of them a letter and a box of needed supplies and toys to them for Christmas this year.  It was a small investment for their needs.

whiskey tango foxtrot?  your mom is supporting you.  why on earth is she also financially supporting your african fantasies?!?!

and metrotech wanted you to think you were getting autocad for free because of them!
