I will listen on radio (WUOT-FM/NPR), supplemented by the forum and the AP or AOSHQDD, probably along with the website of a local newspaper or TV station to call up individual races I feel like getting an update on.

Also, since NPR's coverage usually doesn't start until 8 ET, I'll probably channel-flip on the TV as the first states start to report between 7 and 8.

Fox lost me from watching their election coverage in 2012 when Karl Rove was yelling at the TV about calling Ohio "so early"

They don't do that anymore - that was just a brief stint in 2008.

They gave up trying to actually beam reporters into the studio, but now they've got this man who they make live in a room made entirely of holograms:

MSNBC had better graphics for 2008. I don't like the basic blue.

Agreed. 2004 and 2000 were even better.

That was the best. Fox News was actually a beautiful thing to watch that night. I may check in with them for a bit if the Democrats hold the Senate.

I hope you're joking. Cheesy

I did like their graphics in 2006, though....

MSNBC. Ever since Olbermann got fired after 2010, the music, graphics and discussion roundtables with Maddow as the main newscaster, the station has gotten a lot better for Election Night. It's fun to see O'Donnell's or Hayes's views on results as they're coming in, plus they have a whole bunch of people stationed at the main camps for the night (Grimes, Orman, Perdue, Gardner, Burke etc.). You can't have an election without Chuck Todd's maps, either. Tongue

When 7:30 pm EST rolls along though, I'll probably be watching the local news network for Ohio down-ballot results for a short awhile (since MSNBC will only call OH-Gov for Kasich/post Ohio U.S. House races at the bottom of the screen and be finished on Ohio for the night).

Chuck Todd's maps are the poor man's John King's maps. Tongue

I usually have half a dozen tabs open from various news sites/state elections boards for the various races I'm interested in.  If I decide to watch TV, I'll flip through the various ones.  I stuck with NBC for most of the night in 2012 and MSNBC in 2013.

Nope. I prefer the old school graphics. 2006 was indeed also better than today.

Very likely CNN. Their analysis is best and that is more important to me than graphics or really anything else. I do flip to FOX and MSNBC for entertainment value, though, especially when Democrats win.

I'm sure MSNBC would be entertaining if Republicans take the Senate, especialy if Maddow or Mathews is on the panel. I remember in 2010 when Brown won the Mass. Senate seat Maddow looked like she was going to cry.

I think my main problem with MSNBC in general is that their bar thingy is at the top.

Most likely local coverage interspersed with Politico's elections map for the sake of convenience.

I'll switch in and out of CNN and MSNBC. I might to to an election night party, and I might go down to Fort Lauderdale and watch the results with my great-aunt, great-uncle, and grandma.

I do know that I am getting up at 6:00 AM and going down the street to vote. I don't want to waste anytime in lines.

I mailed in my absentee ballot two weeks ago.
