Uh-oh. I guess this means the GOP has scored another big political win by blaming Obama for Ebola, right? Well, sure, except the poll—which was conducted from October 3-11 in House districts and states with "competitive" races (pdf)—only had one question about Ebola, and that question found that most voters actually had some or a lot of confidence in the government response to Ebola:

Given those numbers, how on Earth did Politico reach the conclusion that Ebola represents a grave threat to Democratic political fortunes? Because, they say:

Specifically, Republicans had 43 percent confidence while Democrats had 81 percent confidence. But that doesn't tell us that Ebola imperils Democrats ... it tells us that people have partisan views of whether government is working. Duh. [/quote]

Yeah, Politico is more clickbait than any actual bias. Giving it any kind of stated purpose like right wing is too much credit.

Like most journalists, they only have a bias against those already in office. As advances in transportation have made DC less insulated, journalists are no longer part of the "game." As such, they try and preserve their influence by self righteously rooting for the underdog.

...because the President is against Tutle Face. Therefore, Turtle Face is what Obama was to Bush circa 2007.

Lief, you're using a left-wing joke site to point out a right-wing joke site?  Really?

They correctly predicted that the Great Gillespie is primed to give the Whining Warner a prime whipping.

Look at how his greatness causes him to be unable to control the raucous applause!

And Rush Limbaugh with his right wing crazies says Politico is a left wing website. Extremists on both sides say the opposite.

I've heard some liberal friend recently claim the entire media has a right-wing bias. Maybe extremists are just, y'know, prone to seeing the enemy in everything?
