Midwest - General Gubernatorial Election for October 2014

A regularly scheduled election is held for Midwest Governor every February, June and October as stated in the Midwest Constitution. Remember, we're voting with PR-STV, so vote 1 for your top preference and numerically go from there. If you edit your ballot 20 minutes after you post, vote twice, or campaign in this thread, your vote will be thrown out, so please don't do any of that. 5 days to vote!

The polls are now closed.

Snowstalker's ballot is invalid and won't be counted because he was deregistered a little awhile back following a Supreme Court decision.

Therefore, this leaves the race at an 11-11 tie. However, Hashemite aka "Charles Darwin" failed to meet the requirements to accept write-ins as "Charles Darwin." Hashemite stated in the Candidate Declaration Thread he was accepting write-ins as "Charles Darwin", however, he did not officially register his new name in the New Register Thread in time which is required. He registered his new name as "Charles Darwin" on October 27th, which was after everyone in this election wrote in "Charles Darwin."

Therefore, because he was officially known as Hashemite at the time of these votes being cast for "Charles Darwin", write-in votes will only be counted for those who wrote his registered name in at the time, Hashemite. Hashemite indicated in his vote that he was accepting write-ins as himself, Hashemite.

With the vote transfers of Marokai, Velasco, Hashemite, and ilikeverin, I am certifying that LeBron FitzGerald has won this election by a 12-2-1 margin. The 12 votes are allotted to Gov. FitzGerald, 2 towards Hashemite from a vote transfer, and 1 towards GAworth from a vote transfer in ilikeverin's vote.
