Maybe not a big deal to Democrats, but Udall making another gaffe again.  He sure wants to take over for vice president in 2016.

How did Colorado Democrats do so well during the sh!tstorm of 2010, yet they're struggling in what is by any measure a more favorable environment?

I'm going to give him some slack. Having done speeches before, I've messed up like that before. This is just like Obama's "57 state" gaffe, its funny and non-serious.

Republicans did rather well in 2010 in Colorado outside of those races with the nuts.

Personally, I think mixing up the number of states is less cringeworthy than accidentally sounding racist.
