It is rather Wittgenstein-esque, showing the problem of translation between the thoughts of one time and place and another. What appears as unintelligble is shown to not in fact be also irrational, but involving a logic which we are not cognizant of, and relations which have a deep reservoir of sentiment. In this way attempts at colonization of one culture over another are questioned.

Well, if we take the future photos on the wall as actual, it appears Bart will have two sons.  Also, for some reason, Homer has his face covered with Post-It™ notes for some reason.  Also the final date of Septembar 36.4, 10,535 suggest a change to a decimal based time system with ten months of 36 or 37 days as needed.
