by crazy I don't mean talent. By crazy I mean in terms of self destructive behavior.

Moon - wasn't it an urban legend he would throw stuff off of hotel balconies?
Bonham - downed 40 shots the night before he died
Dennis Wilson - lived on skid row in the months before he died
Ginger Baker - how he ISN'T dead is beyond me

It was not urban legend, it was fact.  His destruction of hotel rooms is well documented.  The urban legend part was that he drove a Rolls Royce into a hotel pool, that (probably) didn't happen.  He did add extra explosives to his kit on the Smothers Brothers show that went a long way towards Pete's hearing issues.

Keith Moon... he was supposedly once seen scaling the outside of a London hotel whilst intoxicated in the middle of the day by many onlookers.  I can only imagine...
