The uncertainty of election outcomes is most of the fun. Tongue I felt cheated by 2012 election night. Even if the end result didn't change, I was pumped that it was going to be a nail-biter til the end. When Obama won 15 or so minutes later than he did in 2008, that was a huge let-down.
