One of the stupidest TV shows ever. In fact it and Mind of Mencia meant there was a period in South Park's history when it had competition for the stupidest show on Comedy Central.

Perhaps the worst thing about it is that it was released at a time when there was NOTHING edgy about Bush bashing at all. A show like that is only effective if released at a time when Bush wasn't a complete laughingstock.

It never even made any sense to have a child Bush during his father's Presidency. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief long enough to hear a bunch of lame Bush jokes.

Now here's a real quizzer--which was worse: Lil' Bush or That's My Bush?

Lil Bush was much worse.  It's jokes were simple and only making fun of the GOP/neocons/GWB.  That's My Bush just used W in the White House as the setting and then doing a sitcom/parody of a sitcom around it.  Yes, there were jokes at him being a dummy, but the stereotype sitcom dad is a dummy.  Whacky neighbor, silly situations, pauses for laughter after jokes.  I'm not saying it was a great show, it wasn't, but it was much better than Lil Bush which seems to be made by Seth MacFarlane's second cousin right after he got a lobotomy.

More like someone as stupid as the South Park morons but liberal making a show. Hell Cheney was basically a ripoff of Kenny (both unintelligible to the audience but not characters)

Seth MacFarlane is basically never stupid (Well The Cleveland Show was but he probably had virtually no actual creative input on it), the only time he is is when he's bashing Christians. That show on the other hand was exactly the type of juvenile mind-numbing "humor" you'd find on South Park. For example at the same time didn't South Park do an episode about Hillary Clinton having a nuclear weapon in her vagina? Yeah that's exactly the type of stupid crap you'd see on this show. Two peas in a pod, idiotic shows, one right-wing, one right-wing bashing (I hesitate to call anything as dumb and often misogynistic as Lil' Bush "left-wing")

Seth MacFarlane is basically never stupid (Well The Cleveland Show was but he probably had virtually no actual creative input on it), the only time he is is when he's bashing Christians. That show on the other hand was exactly the type of juvenile mind-numbing "humor" you'd find on South Park. This is where you rub me the wrong way sometimes.  If you weren't a Christian you wouldn't think this, and don't for a second tell me that you wouldn't be watching Family Guy if you weren't a Christian.  You don't think the part in the episode where Peter becomes a redneck and watches Cosmos Edited For Rednecks was funny?

No, that's different, he's making fun of rednecks and the type of Christianity common amongst them. I don't have a problem with Family Guy making fun of conservative Christians of course, and the way they did it with the abstinence only promoters in "Prick Up Your Ears" was great (it also gave one of my favorite quotes on the show when Peter said "No Lois, we can't have sex, sex turns straight people gay, and gay people into Mexicans. Everyone goes down a notch.") The problem is when he does just straight up Christian bashing ala "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven" and a few cutaways that doesn't even TRY to be funny, it's just "haha, we're bashing Christians and therefore that's funny!" just like South Park's "OMG someone just said something "shocking" and "offensive", we're so edgy, this is funny!" crap that it relies on constantly. But luckily that's a pretty low portion of Family Guy's output.
