I'll be ignoring this.

I still have a problem with the first provision. Actual pornography sales are a small, shrinking fraction of the pornography industry, and most of this bill relates to the BS "I am totally over the age of 18" rule that most Northeastern millennials have broken.

While this bill isn't perfect, the previous situation is better than the status quo.

Vetoed.

Like I said, this bill is a slippery slope that leads to a second War on Drugs. Not only that, but it essentially makes the age to smoke marijuana higher than the age to smoke meth rocks. Needless to say I have no intention to sign this bill.

You can't veto the Hot Dog Act/Repeal of the Sex Offender reform one. Your choices were to ignore it (then it fails because its a tie) or you send it to the voters for a referendum.

I'll ignore it. After all it's the same stuff in the end.

As I said, I specifically have a problem with Provision 2, and am concerned that some localities will ban e-cigarettes. Some members of the Assembly have said that we shouldn't be rampantly deregulating things, but considering this bill would allow others to seek worse alternatives, I can't sign away the lungs of thousands of Northeasterners.

I'd like to remind you all that due to Barnes' resignation, there will be a special election for his Assembly seat from the 9th to the 11th.

As a result, I will be appointing Matt from VT as my lieutenant governor. I'm squaring away the appointment right now and it should come by early tomorrow.

I will be appointing Libertas to serve out the remainder of Barnes's term. A special election will still be held next weekend.

The Return to Normalcy Act is to be repealed in its' entirety effective upon repeal

I'll be ignoring this. While distracted driving is an issue, I'm concerned about the enforcement of this law and feel as if the police should be focused on preventing hazards that they can actually enforce.

The Shocker Act to be repealed in its' entirety effective upon repeal

Vetoed.

I honestly don't see the problem with allowing intoxicated passengers, and reject the idea that an open container can tempt the driver to drink. To truly combat the problem of drunk driving, I am looking to plan my own individual-based initiative that we all can agree on.

I'll also be opting not to send the repeal of the Smoking Age Standardization Act to the people. As I said, I believe that the age of majority should stay sixteen, and as such the age of purchase for tobacco should stay around that age.

So, since Libertas got banned and Winfield got recalled, we need two Assembly members. Feel free to PM me your suggestions.

Assembly Appointment Amendment 2015

The Assembly Special Elections Act 2014 shall be amended as follows:

We simply don't have enough demand in the Assembly to realistically have this provision.

x Sawx

We repealed and replaced this, and I believe this addresses all the concerns I have with it.

As I said, it's always been my policy that we should try to work towards making every bill count. When this bill was proposed, it was a fiscal disaster that even I would have vetoed had it passed. However, when its sponsor, Matt, advocated the true reason behind it, I worked to provide a fiscally responsible, healthier solution to tackle this problem. When I was in the fourth grade, my principal decided to cut my recess time to fifteen minutes, and I simply found that unreasonable even as a ten-year-old. Our youth simply cannot be expected to sit in class all day, and I truly believe this bill will help our children, from kindergarten to 12th grade, become smarter and more educated.

The wheel of progress always turns, even with the most unlikely allies pushing it along.

(EDIT - It's also come to my attention that some f**kboy's reporting my posts in an attempt to censor me. I've decided to handle a few PIs to investigate and hopefully we can go back to my office being a no flex zone)

Governor,

I'm wondering if you or another Northeasterner could answer a question for me: does your region have a High-Speed Rail line connecting Pittsburgh and Philadelphia?

I don't believe it does in the current universe. However, if there is enough demand (which I believe there is), I would be more than willing to build a HSR network across Pennsylvania.

As I said, this legislation, while long-delayed, and held up by SirNick, Deregistered Terrorist on the  Lam, is necessary to close important loopholes in the original. It's also worth noting that I'd like to create some sort of drug scheduling system in the future so we can classify which drugs are more "severe" or not and ease our regulations.

I drafted this as a compromise to deal with the problem of driving under the influence. I believe that if businesses and companies like these cooperate with people, we can finally end the scourge of drunk driving once and for all.
