A black and white painting of the governor.

Come one, come all! Welcome to my newest home. I've been a Boston boy all my life, but holy hell New York is awesome. I look forward to working with my cabinet and the Assembly in the next four months, and I assure you that I have your visions in mind.

I've always been a man of the people, and you can find me anywhere. If you have a question, feel free to send me a PM or ask me here. If you ever want to talk or just hang out, you can do that in my personal IRC chatroom, #winterfell. With that, my transition team and I have a lot of work to do, so we shall be off.

Well, I've finally made it. First off, I'd like to get some housekeeping out of the way. As my good friend Matt from VT has left, and Barnes has won election to the Assembly, we have two vacancies. A bunch of people put their names in the ring for them, and after consulting with my team, I have already made my decisions on who will be the best Assembly for us.

First of all, for Chief Judicial Officer. It was a decently competitive field, but I'd have to nominate Talleyrand. He's been a good, active governor and I'm sure he can handle the judiciary as well as he did the executive for us.

As for lieutenant governor, I would like to appoint his predecessor, and my former opponent, Barnes. While he was previously my rival, and I spent months trying to damage him as much as possible, I truly believe that he is the best man for the job, and I am willing to bury the hatchet with him and Labor for the good of the Northeast. He has been a very good judicial officer, and despite his run against me, I am confident he will do a job. I've assembled a coalition of Federalists, Democratic-Republicans, and TPPers behind me. Although Labor and I have my differences, it's time I bring them into the fold and create a true government of the people.

Well, there's about to be a vacancy in the Assembly, since rpryor03 is resigning to be part of Lumine's cabinet. All of those who wish to be appointed, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Governor Sawx, I am pleased to put my name forward for appointment to the Northeast Assembly, and shall be honored to serve if called upon to do so.

I am as well honored to have the endorsement of outgoing Representative rpryor03, via PM, to fill this vacancy.

If Dallas doesn't already have a spot, I encourage the Governor to appoint my good friend from the D-R's ahead of both of these men.

I don't think the voyage has begun yet.  Plus, I never renounced my Atlasian citizenship (I am maintaining duel-citizenship) and can communicate/get news concerning Atlasia/the NE via carrier pigeon Tongue

I highly recommend appointing Talleyrand, Alfred, IceSpear or another Laborite who might be interested in the job.

Otherwise, if no Labor frontrunner emerges, then I hope you'll appoint Winfield over dallasfan. Winfield is common sense for the Northeast and the people need someone who they can trust on important social issues affecting them. I'm not from the region, but I thought I would give my two cents. Seeing as everyone seems to be bombarding you with advice Tongue obviously you have the right to choose whoever you want, but I hope that you'll respect the will of the citizens who voted for rpryor and choose someone who is as close to him as possible politically. Smiley

Beyond any desire to be selected, I think this is the best advice you could receive, Governor. ^^

King in the North Sawx, tell us about your favorite burrito place in the North

It's a nice place back home in New Hampshire. It's a small chain - we only have three locations, and they're relatively close-by, but they're better than Chipotle. The tortillas are heated in a way that makes them soft and gummy, and they have much more options than your standard "steak-chicken-beef-veggies" selection. My usual is the shrimp burrito, with some chipotle mayo, cilantro, extra cheese, and lime. I'm lucky I don't go over to my friend's house often - he's in walking distance and I'd probably be bankrupt within a week.

There's a place down in Pennsylvania that a girl I've been talking to recommended to me, though. She wants to go some time - maybe I should take her up on that offer.
