Paris!

Tokyo probably gives you either a heart attack or claustrophobia from what I've heard. Tongue

Probably Tokyo because I'm a bigger fan of Japanese culture than French culture.

Paris, easily. Tokyo is just too intense.

Tough choice, but I'll say Tokyo, even though I was very close to living near Tokyo in the Navy and I opted to get out.  Fact is I really don't want to live anywhere too far from NYC.

Well, I've actually been to Paris, and it means I can fly to the UK to visit my friends in Cardiff more easily.

I liked Tokyo more when I went, so there, I guess. I'd be happy to live in either.

Been to both and lived in Tokyo.  Answer: Tokyo.  Great food, lots to do, variety of cultures and traditions, and the ladies are just too beautiful.

I voted Paris (my sister lives there, but I voted Paris for other reasons).

Not surprising that Paris is winning, since it would be more culturally familiar.  However, I did expect Tokyo to get more votes because of the prevalent Francophobia, especially on the right.

French would be easier for me to learn than Japanese, so Paris.

So am I, but while Tokyo would be interesting to spend a couple of months in, I find Paris much more livable in the long run.

I would prefer to live in Paris. If I wanted to go on a weeklong vacation to get laid, I'd choose Tokyo.

Believe it or not, Paris. Tokyo is just too hectic. Were this asking about a smaller Japanese city instead, my answer would be different.

Paris.  There are many places I would like to see in Europe, and Paris would be a good location to travel to them from.

Which city in Japan (if not Tokyo) would you want to move to?  My personal preference is Osaka -apart from all the other reasons (culinary not least of them), that is the only other city in Japan with which I have some familiarity from the years I lived in Japan.
