Coakley led in early polls in this race by as much as 29, now she's down. Weiland was always down. So, Coakley.

Weiland. ANY candidate would be struggling in the MA governor's race, as the polls showed (Baker was crushing Grossman/Berwick). Weiland blew this seat for us TWICE, once by forcing out SHS and then again by not dropping out and endorsing Pressler once Pressler surged.

Coakley screwed up twice two. And Presslers numbers fell even harder than Weilands (going from over 30 to below 20 in a matter of weeks).

I don't count this gov race as "screwed up" for her. Like I said in the post (and the polls corroborate this), it would've been a tough race for any Dem. Besides, even if she did screw it up, the Massachusetts governorship is far less important than a South Dakota Senate seat in a year where the majority is at stake.

Martha Coakley was given two separate races in which all she had to do was not f--k up and now she's managed to blow it again.

Weiland had an uphill battle from the start, but once Pressler gained traction it was completely out of his hands.

Coakley is definitely worse objectively as a human being. Most of Weiland's issues come from infighting within the party.

Weiland didn't blow a Senate election where he was ahead by 20 points, to a man who is basically MittBot .5.

why is this even a question? Weiland is awesome and tells the truth, he's so progressive he scares the corrupt Dems to death.

Coakley is terrible and bland
