so the first semi-major story is that Julius Randle broke his fibula and is likely out for the season.  I saw the Lakers as a 55 to 60 loss team before this.  Kobe can either take his 30 shots per game at a 40% FG%, or if he shows something, try to orchestrate his way out of town so his career does not end in irrelevancy.
