Even if you don't like Upworthy's style of catching attention, most would admit at least the videos they highlight are often entertaining. marxists.org is nothing but dense, unreadable and boring crap. And it doesn't have to be either, I read plenty of readable Marxist stuff in college, especially with all those communist front groups handing out anti-Iraq War lit and the like. But the stuff on that site reminds me of Einzige's postings with a different ideology.

marxists.org is a devoted, specialized resource website with all sorts of fascinating primary-source material on one of the most consequential ideologies in modern history. I have it not only bookmarked, but in my bookmarks toolbar, right between biblegateway.com and jisho.org. Upworthy is vapid drivel. This isn't a contest.

I assume there's better content on it than the unreadable crap Snowstalker keeps linking to then?

I'm kind of surprised, you seemed like a potential Upworthy fan. I'd also wager that based on Facebook shares, it seems to be the most popular website amongst people at my church FWIW.

Perhaps marxism.org and Upworthy can work out a healthy compromise:

"19 Reasons this Proletariat's speech will restore your faith in humanity!"

"Wow! This ordinary mother demolishes capitalism in ONE SENTENCE, and what happens next will make your jaw drop"

"Dialectical materialism now explained through GIF's from 90's cartoon's : what follows will change the way you think about the landowning classes forever"

Only the second is Upworthy-esque. The others are more like Buzzfeed.
