On October 8, Johnson County (KS) judge Kevin Moriarty advised county clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.  (The state Supreme Court issued a stay a few days later.)

Today, I saw the first yard sign on the issue:  "Pink-slip Judge Moriarty".

To be honest, I'm somewhat surprised that it took this long.

That would be funny, but no.

We have judicial retention elections here.  The judges don't have opponents.

Actually, I did have a State Representative race years ago where Hanover lost to Tudor.
