The next cover of their magazine:

Disgusting stuff. I bet their editors are just salivating at the chance to ruthlessly attack her for the next ten years.

Most things are obsurd, saying that she is too liberal is laughable. Politico is a joke.

You're a little late here. They've been desperately trying since November 5, 2012. Tongue

...oh dear, they think she's simultaneously too pro-Obama and not pro-Obama enough! Truly obsurd!

I will admit that somewhere in the back of my mind, I wonder if Hillary Clinton is going to be the Thomas E. Dewey of 2016 - someone who seems like the most inevitable of inevitables only to lose by hair in a twist that no one saw coming.

Where's "neoconservative corporatist calculating warmongering racist bitch?" Those adjectives seem to be the favorite amongst the so-called "true progressives" on this board.

Yeah, Politico trashing Hillary? Shocking! That's like calling out Tweety for his hatred of her. In other news, water is still wet.

How the hell is she too liberal, yet too friendly with Wall Street and too war hawkish?

Idiots.

It's the "throw everything at the wall and hope something sticks" strategy.

You people are retarded. Politico itself is not trying to criticize Hillary...the cover is just supposed to be a bunch of criticisms that Hillary will inevitably get from different groups. As Simfan already pointed out, did you actually think that they were simultaneously attacking her as "too pro-Obama" and "not pro-Obama enough?"

Remember that there are people here that refuse to even consider that Hillary is human and not divine.

I don't really see too much wrong with this cover except that it's too early to relevantly use it. It seems like an accurate portrayal of the attacks that will be used against her once the race heats up.

Politico is taking criticisms that supposedly the right is going to use to attack her with once the mid terms are over.

1948 was a different case in a different time. Polling methodology was unrefined and flat out wrong. There was a media narrative that Thurmond and Wallace were going to get 5-10% of the vote each, so pollsters threw out samples that didn't show it. They also sample gathered in completely unscientific ways like asking on the radio for people to call in and take their survey, or handing out forms at the entrances of baseball games and movies and asking people to fill it out and give it back before they leave. It wasn't even a common practice to ask someone if they were registered to vote. It's quite possible Dewey never lead Truman at any point in that election.

Today's polling outfits wouldn't lead us that astray.

They're not describing her. They're listing off attack lines that will be used against her.

Yeah.  If you take a look at the actual article, they're talking about talking points that might be used against her... in fact, the point of the article is that Republicans are having a very hard time figuring out the most effective line of attack, given how long she's been in the public eye.
