Took a while to get back on this, I have a feeling this one is going to be a lot crazier where votes go given how much closer they are.

But once again, try to focus on them by the personality rather than ideology or policies except where they can't really be separated.

For example, though I haven't put in my votes, I'll freely say despite LBJ ending being one of my favorites concerning policy wise, he's definitely a crook and underhanded. I wouldn't give a dishonorable mention because of his comedic points [toilet seat meetings anyone?], but he's not in the 5.

On the other hand, George W. Bush is likable enough, he doesn't quite make it for me because I don't care much for how inarticulate, plain spoken, and oblivious he comes off as, but he does have a sort of "sit down and drink beer with" thing going. He's the worst president policy wise, but he has niceness to him.

With that in mind, vote away!

Eisenhower, Nixon (in a weird way-I can elaborate if anyone really cares to know why), Ford, Carter, and Reagan. I would have included FDR on the list, but I felt that I had to vote for Nixon as a statement about humanity and I couldn't write off any of the others.

Carter
Ford
Obama

Clinton
Kennedy

The first three are easy.  After that it's hard.  I probably should have voted for Ike instead of JFK.

Now I'll weigh in.

Carter is easily my favorite as a person. If he didn't bully unions, deregulate, and was a bit more open, he'd be the best president of all time.

After that it's an easy Ford, Ike, and Truman

The hard parts were whether to go with FDR for great courage and humor, JFK for quick wit, intelligence, and seemingly great compassion, or Obama. Ultimately though what I watched from The Roosevelts leaned me to FDR.

I doubt you can become President if you're a good person.  At that level, I'm pretty sure they're all killers.

Carter was and is a sanctimonious, moralizing prick.

So you have a lot in common with him?
