Standard for sure. Having to get up an hour early just so it can be super bright and sunny forever when it's already 100 degrees in the shade all summer is miserable.

Standard for sure. Being super bright and sunny forever when it's already 100 degrees in the shade all summer in the worst.

The sun being up and the birds chirping at 4 am is the worst, actually.

People saying we ought to do away with DST are silly. We ought to do away with "normal" time.

Definitely DST.... It's dark now at 5:30, and I can't stand this. An hour more sunlight in the evening is ten times better than an hour more in the morning...

I accidentally clicked on this thread instead of the one about Duke finishing law school and this post came across as a very profound congratulatory riddle.

Daylight Stupid Time is bad, but switching back and forth between Daylight Stupid Time and Standard Time is even worse.  While it wouldn't be ideal. I could deal with year-round Daylight Stupid Time better than the jumps back and forth.

Normal time is more logical.  The sun transits close to noon, so it makes more sense.  Just stick with normal time, but shift the day's activities by one hour so that it's more like DST.

As a midshifter, it means both everything and nothing to me.  I do enjoy making fun of the people bitching about how it messes up their day.

I agree with this. Spring forward is a miserable experience, far beyond the trivia of what hour the sun sets at.

I'm a night person, so I love the return to Standard Time. DST should be abolished.

I don't like changing the clocks, especially ahead in the Spring, but I do prefer it be light in the morning as opposed to later. I hate getting up when it's still dark out. So I guess I like what we're on now.

The sun should not still be up after 8PM, that's just sick and wrong. And waking up when it's still dark just sucks.

The rest of history did just fine without something as arbitrary as "springing forward".
