Waiting for the bar exam results is a scary thing. I know it must be a relief for you Dukey. Congrats. Smiley

The professional responsibility MPRE exam that I took this morning was a lot harder than the sample test that I downloaded and took yesterday. So it was a bit of a struggle. I had to rely a lot on common sense. We shall see how well that works. The "bar" for passing it in NY is pretty low however - about 56% of the questions right, adjusted for whatever curve adjustments are made by the on staff "psychometrician," to correct for tests that prove to be unusually hard or easy based on results.

I am relieved. I don't think I sat down at all on Friday. The list of names of those who passed was posted on the SC Supreme Court's website at 4pm, so there was no letter or warning before those went up. Everyone knew everyone's business. Kind of scary.

The MPRE was a strange test for me. I watched a Kaplan video the day before I took it and went over some practice problems and scored a 106, which is high enough to practice in any state in the US, but I have no idea how I managed to do it. A lot of the questions seemed like common sense, i.e. no double billing or participating in cases where you are an interested party, but some were just strange.

Either way, I'm sure you did well enough to practice in NY. I think they have the highest required score of any state in the country.

If you decide to become a mob lawyer, I'll reconsider.  Tongue

That's all my future holds. Once you're part of the family....you don't leave
