Does anyone know what Jerry Brown did to piss off Lassen County so much? He lost it by only 8 points in 2010, but lost it by 35 points this year!

Regression to the norm?

Yeah I guess the better question is why they liked him so much in 2010. I guess residual goodwill from the 70s before the county swung far to the right?

This may a bit macabre, but I can't deny that's it's hilarious that Kashkari only won ONE county in all of California.

In hindsight this comment was clearly based on inaccurate information (I even saw a map of IL that showed Rauner sweeping everywhere including Cook), but now I'm curious to know which single county Kashkari had apparently won.  Smiley

Wait, Rauner didn't sweep everything but Cook?  According to the Atlas he did.

That's right.  The map I saw somewhere shortly after the election showed Rauner sweeping everything.  Hence me bringing it up when pointing out MormDem's innocent mistake above.

What happened in Wyoming? Mead didn't break 60%, all counties but two swung to the Democrat, and two third party candidates broke 5% each. I was under the impression that he was one of the most popular governors.

Don Wills from a quick google search is a conservative independent, who took away votes. Plus the democrat only got 2,000 more votes than the last democrat four years ago. While Mead also had a few of his voters from 2010 drop off all together.

Mead won 59.39% of the vote. So he didn't break 60% for just 1.040 votes.
