Thank God.

Unlike others, I do dislike Romney largely because if his Mormonism. Its a minority religion which encourages the destructive minority-ism trend in American politics. A candidate should culturally identify with the majority of the public.

To me it just crosses the threshold where the bigotry becomes Archie Bunker/Eric Cartman funny.

People sometimes ask me why I consider tmth one of the top 10 all-time Atlas forum blue avatars. And I point them to lol-worthy posts like this one:

With recent events that have happened on this board, along with the news that Governor Romney will not be in the 2016 field, I think it is best that I step away from this forum. Anyone who would like to remain in contact with me is welcome to add me on Facebook.

Man, you're still hanging around these parts?  I happened upon your "But muh Hitler" post from back in the day not too ago.  I mean, if you are gonna spew hateful crap at least keep it away from Germany 1933-45.

The whole thread qualifies, but this post in particular was classic:

Icespear is actually a staffer of Rand Paul, secretly trying to turn Hillary supporters against her and toward another candidate.

The correlation of Islam and measles* is not unique. They are of the same manifestation - purposeful inducement of “Artificial Compassion”- the active ingredient of the progressed collective - the Democrat.
It is being said by Elon musk, Bill gates and one or two others that artificial intelligence is the “game over” scenario. Rush Limbaugh, the big wing of the radio air wave says “artificial compassion” is the current White House game in play. The thing of it is, Elon Musk had an unstable college life, Bill Gates dropped out and Rush Limbaugh… well, it wouldn’t have worked out for them.
There is a lot talk about from the czars’ of health to up the ante, requiring vaccination for public assembly. Artificial Compassion will see its peter affect, then denied. The vaccine for Artificial Compassion is readily available; it just needs the prick (needle) to administer.

OC's abbreviation for Missouri:

I also consider this fact, the last time OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, flipped was in 2006 when MIZZ also flipped, and it may not be much of a presidential battleground, we do have our governor race there.

I'd argue that they're both about equally conservative in their own respective ways. BYU represents, to put it in a Forum context, a "DC Al" sort of conservatism that is about adhering to established rules and morals. A&M offers up more of a "Cathcon" conservatism that involves white males engaging in law-breaking, libertine behavior while defending their white male privilege.

He rose from poverty to separate two babies who had their heads fused together and has a plan to rescue America.

There needs to be a Carson ad where one baby is labeled "America" and the other is labeled "Socialism."

ACA has been very successful by what measure? An overwhelming majority of the increase in coverage was caused by employment rebound

By the measure that having an individual and employee mandate for healthcare was predicted by Very Serious Economists to destroy full time work but, instead, an employment rebound happened.

There is no employment rebound.

Either way, the convention would actually be held in New Jersey.

A convenient way to avoid getting into arguments in mixed company.  Is dispensing with the Oxford comma proper grammar? Let the states decide. Is it acceptable to wear white after Labor Day? Let the states decide. Can God be reconciled with our experience of an apparently flawed universe? Let the states decide.

Just remember to phrase the sentiment according to the company you keep (e.g. among certain groups it might be better to talk about how we should "empower the states to decide").

This so-called poll offers only two diametrically opposed choices and is not representative of independents such as myself. This is a further reflection that the extremists on this forum ignore those who either have no opinions at all, or arbitrarily cut them in half.

Way out west there was this fella... fella I wanna tell ya about. Fella by the name of Jeff Brown. At least that was the handle his loving parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. Mr. Brown, he called himself ""Bushie". Now, "Bushie" - that's a name no one would self-apply where I come from. But then there was a lot about Bushie that didn't make a whole lot of sense. And a lot about where he lived, likewise. But then again, maybe that's why I found the place so darned interestin'.

They call Oklahoma City the "City Of Red People." I didn't find it to be that, exactly. But I'll allow there are some redneck folks there. 'Course I can't say I've seen Atlanta, and I ain't never been to Birmingham. And I ain't never seen no queen in her damned undies, so the feller says. But I'll tell you what - after seeing Oklahoma City, and this here story I'm about to unfold, well, I guess I seen somethin' every bit as stupefyin' as you'd see in any of them other places. And in English, too. So I can die with a smile on my face, without feelin' like the good Lord gypped me.

Now this here story I'm about to unfold took place back in the early 2010s - just about the time of our election with O'Bama and the Tea-baggies. I only mention it because sometimes there's a man... I won't say a hero, 'cause, what's a hero? But sometimes, there's a man. And I'm talkin' about Bushie here. Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Bushie, in Oklahoma City.

And even if he's a lazy man - and Bushie was most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest in Oklahoma State, which would place him high in the runnin' for laziest worldwide. But sometimes there's a man, sometimes, there's a man. Aw. I lost my train of thought here. But... aw, hell. I've done introduced him enough.
