The fact that Jills anti-science is a big turn off.

Unlike that esteemed scholar and fount of scientific curiosity Donald Trump?

Of course fat, lazy Westerners want cheap goods produced by tiny, Asian children.

Eh, Rubio was leading by a lot before this; he has quite the buffer of goodwill and popularity to blow through, and Patrick is a terrible, scandal-prone politician; I doubt he can take advantage of this.

PA and NH were already being lost, and of course Burr and Blunt are very endangered. It isn't all sunshine and roses.
I just hope Rubio wins, in part because I really like the guy, but mostly because of all the haters on this forum. I want them to have to deal with him for at least the next six years.

Even if he's elected we really won't have to deal with him all that much due to the amount of time and votes he skips out on.

It wasn't meant as a joke. And these kinds of things are insulting in a personal way when you are trans.

Jesus doesn't save. In 9 out of 10 clinical trials, Jesus failed to save the patient from their disease.

Who cares, we will all die from Ebola soon (according to Beet).

Sorry Beet, but I couldn't resist.

What's up with Pennsylvania being represented entirely by males?
The women aren't angry enough.

Meh, Minnesota seems alright, if a bit too cold ... but BRTD's ward/precinct/whatever can  off. Wink

What about the 2000 other people that have to suffer from his presence.

Send in the evacuation team.

Sorry BRTD, I couldn't resist.

I would have thought photo shop more likely, but whatever.

He'll be back eventually. Not making judgments on whether that's good or bad.

After actually seeing it, very bad.

First direct calamity of Trump's victory.

Southern Gothic didn't outright vote Trump.

Actually, he did.

But SG doesn't have blind loyalty to the party and accepts that it's not perfect for him and has found his own way. It would have to be somebody who thought the Democratic Party was still the party of white Southerners and had an obsession with that or something.

I don't think SG voted for Trump.

I know for a fact that he did.

Did you go into the voting booth with him?

The post before it was:

Yeah I ended up voting for Trump. I have my regrets about it, but it is what it is.

No, and a read about it on wikipedia reveals that it really isn't anything special.

I must have missed the overwhelming impact it had on human society.

It's funny because you're dismissing one of the most important works of modern political philosophy with a sneer after skimming it's Wikipedia page.

I wasn't aware that modern political philosophy was even remotely significant. What impact has it had on people who aren't philosophers again?

More that I feel annoyed at someone putting one of my posts that's only funny to him(and maybe some other random person) in the gallery like its some epic burn or something. If it was someone else who had said that the book wasn't special, I would have still responded.

Since societal impact is how you judge the worth of a book, isn't it about time you cracked open a Bible and obeyed what it said? Tongue

No, I just tend to not think of books that have had little to no impact on the world as "special" unless they have some really good content.

hahahaha omg

Anti-intellectualism is a hell of a thing.

I tend to find the "intellectualism" of most moral philosophy lacking. From what I've seen, it usually (no matter the position) boils down to making smart sounding arguments to justify how one feels the world should work. I don't believe that such a field should be considered equal to science, programming, engineering, art, abstract logic, mathematics, etc.

As opposed to your way of justifying how you feel the world should work, which is to just assert that that's how it should work without providing any evidence or reasoning.

I provide reasoning about as well as you. Which isn't helping my case much, but still.

They try to act neutral when in fact they shill for the Democratic Party.

I respect an openly biased news organization over an news organization  who is biased but tries to hide it.

LOL

Anyway, FFs, much better than the rubes who voted for Trump.  Can't wait until "Trumpism" - to the extent it means anything, haha - is discredited.  Trump was a last stand for people like Eharding and TN Vol, and the future of the GOP is gonna be a LITTLE less White trash, friends.

"White trash"? Wow... you really want the GOP to be a big tent party, huh?

Not that big and with classier tent inhabitants.

Not surprising that you would find that funny.
