I didn't think the GOP would win at the scale it is tonight.  It's a staggering accomplishment and you guys should be proud.

Enjoy the next two years with the congress you won.  Who knows, you might even get to impeach Obama in the House and shut down the government again!  Live it up, you've earned it.

See you in 2016.

What was up with the polls? Clearly there was a massive failure somewhere in modelling likely voters?

I'm stunned right now, I am going to say it, this was a wave election that no one saw coming at all.  I can't believe it at all.

Indeed. Your victory tonight makes 2010 looks like a child play.

Well done.

To be fair to you guys, 2016 is still strongly in your column.

Edit: Also, it is worth noting that Fox has been ripping on Rove all night long.

HockeyDude, expect my postmortem of this election sometime later tonight or tomorrow morning. It uses some heavily religious language that you won't want to co-sign, but in general I think you'll be quite happy with how scathing I'm making it.

Good, it should be scathing.  I can ignore the religious stuff because I'm infuriated every time I have to realize that this disgusting gaggle of plutocrats still have a pulse in American politics.  I'm supposed to be gracious that a party that has no regard for the poor, openly tries to disenfranchise minorities, and willingly bows to the whims of billionaires that care about nothing except their bottom line won a big victory tonight?  No.  Hell [Inks]ing no.

I don't think the Republicans "earned" this at all, but congratulations nevertheless. I'm sure it will turn out to be a very bad time for reasonables over the next two years. Go full retard and wake up the lazier Democrats for 2016.

I literally have no idea what their campaign narrative even was.  But congrats I guess?  Enjoy nothing happening until you lose the Senate and White House again in two years.

Yep, congrats, Pubs.  It was a tidal wave alright.  Enjoy.

Please tell your peeps who won offices tonight to do a few good things with them.

To forum lefties, I'm not happy about this.  But we live, and have lived for a long time, in a quite dysfunctional two-major-party system.  With frequent elections, when bad stuff happens and the country's mood worsens, the pendulum swings to the other side, sometimes slightly, sometimes hard, whether the new winners deserve it or not.  But it remains a dysfunctional system, so expect the pendulum to swing back toward you on some Tuesday night in the not-too-distant future.  It's the way the U.S. has "worked" for a long time now, it's not new.  So, if the likely perpetuation of these unfortunate circumstances can give any comfort, take it, and count on it.

Thank you, thank you!

And no, these guys won't impeach Obama or shut the government down.  Most of the winning Republicans know better than that.

I am gonna say something that's accurate.

My prediction maps for the Senate and Gubernatorial races was probably friendly to Republicans. MY Predictions were incorrect because they were NOT friendly enough to Republicans.

If Naso's prediction is too pro-Democrat...you KNOW it's a bad Democrat election.

Christ, I had a Nunn upset in Georgia, and Orma and Hagan winning on my predictions. Also, I thought Mitch would win 49%-48%. My prediction score isn't going to be as high as I wanted it to be, but that is a good thing! Smiley

So America dies now? Not when that neoliberal FDR won? Not when Bush turned America into a Christian fascist nation? Not when Obama committed genocide in the Middle East?

How many times is America going to die according to True Leftist logic??
