I don't think there's any evidence whatsoever to think that the Obama coalition is somehow different from the Democratic coalition. At least not in the way you guys are saying.

Let's not also forget that Hillary herself was more popular during the 2008 primary among many constituencies: women, Hispanics, working class whites. That means that these people maybe will be more motivated with a Clinton candidacy than they were with Obama.

The Democratic coalition I grew up in the 80s and 90s with included coal families and white senior citizens, but lower African-American participation and a lower share of the Hispanic population.
