Thought that just came to me:

Isn't it rather fitting that BOTH are now seen as discredited jokes who should never run for office ever again?

I'm deriving a sort of grim satisfaction from it, yes. It has an almost Euripidean tenor to it.

They should hang out in the back of the famous green GMC pickup and get drunk together and talk smack about their respective opponents.

Jim Matheson beating Scott Brown for US Senate would be hilarious.

Harry Reid beating Scott Brown in Nevada would be even funnier.

Coakley's worse off.

She never reached the highs Brown did, and her losses are less excusable.

Brown reminds a plausible choice for Republican presidential cabinets.

I don't think Scott Brown is a discredited joke, at least not yet.

Of course, if you're a liberal, then he always was.

Having survived MSNBC on election night, they almost have an irrational hatred for him and took a lot of jabs.  Maddow was muttering something about "he is the only person in America to lose to two women in Senate races!" -- I mean, what? lol

But usually, atleast in recent history, 2 losses in a row makes it a hard opportunity for a comeback.

So what? All it is is shameless gender-card bait which worked out really well for you this election didn't it.

Scott Brown came very close to winning, and surged in the polls when he took a position against amnesty.  Shaheen was the most popular of all "endangered" incumbents that were up this cycle. The facts don't lie on either of these two things.

All the talk about how the GOP Must expand its base, and yet moderate Republicans get more grief from MSNBC than they do from us in the tea party. Odd.

At least Martha Coakley didn't move to another state and run after losing.

He'd never survive the primary here. If he ran here (or in any other deep red state) he'd have to deal with being a carpetbagger and a RINO. Tongue

Because they realize that the Moderate Republicans are a threat to the Democratic Party.

The Democrats are truly shuddering at the thought of Jim Jeffords, Lincoln Chafee, and Arlen Specter.

How different would the ACA have been if it hadn't been for Martha Coakley?

Coakley should run for NH Senate in 2016. It'd make the cycle complete. Maybe every 2 years after Brown moves to another state and loses, Coakley follows 2 years later and loses herself?

Brown did surge, around the same time that the Republican in New Hampshire always surges, October.

While I believe Coakley has better political ethics, her defeats were far more embarrassing. At least Brown was at one time an asset for the GOP.
