She got 42%. She's done.

How does the law work in Louisiana? If she concedes, is the runoff canceled?

No, I have hope! A month is a long time in politics.

She has some hope of "localising" the election and/or if Cassidy makes a big gaffe. Not a very big hope, but lots of people campaign for much smaller odds.

Another keg stand might help her. Or, catch Bill Cassidy calling Drew Brees a sh***y quarterback, and videotape it.

Her chances of winning aren't zero.

I'm sure the people of Louisiana would be disappointed without another 6 weeks of campaign season

She might win if she stops insulting her own electorate.

She has had an impressive electoral history, barely scraping by in most of her contests.

But her time has finally come. Stick a fork in her.

Now that the Republicans have a solid majority in the Senate, she has a chance of localizing the race. Probably doesn't work but she still has a small chance.

I'd hold out.  There could be a backlash.

No, she needs to compete with Lincoln for biggest loss for an incumbent in recent history.

No.

She will twist in the  wind for a month then go down to defeat.

She's had her time in the halls of power.  Time to get the boot.

Landrieu should plan to run for mayor-president of Baton Rouge. Unlike her first elections, East Baton Rouge Parish easily votes for her nowadays and she is as right-wing as the current mayor.

She has a slightly better chance in the runoff now that control of the Senate doesn't hang in the balance. Of course she'll probably still lose.

I hear that some of the Cochran runoff people had a conference call with Team Landrieu this morning.

Mary's hoping to pull the same rabbit out of her hat that Thad did, and I think its entirely possible.

Localize the race and use scare tactics to turn out the Black vote and pick up White moderates and we will very easily be looking at 6 more years of Senator Landrieu.

The new ACA premiums will be out by then. She could try pointing out how Cassidy and all other Republicans lied through their teeth about "huge rate increases. "
